Iain Buchan is Chairman of The Unlimited Group. He started the business in 1994 and has grown it into a significant player in the annuity products market. The Unlimited Group currently provides services to no less than 330 000 customers each month and is a source of income for over 2000 families.

Iain Buchan started The Unlimited Group in order to empower people. He believes in developing and sculpting future leaders that will help grow The Unlimited Group and take South Africa into the future. He can name at least three employees that joined The Unlimited Group and worked their way up and are now millionaires.

Iain Buchan  continually reinvents  The Unlimited Group so that it can carry on supporting the thousands of families that depend on it. Equally important are his mass job-creation initiatives. One such project,  “Greet-up”, involves convincing 50 000 businesses to hire people in the role of host or hostess to greet visitors at the door, instantly creating 50 000 jobs.

Iain Buchan is a fresh, bold voice in business today. He says people need to wake up to the fact that capitalism as we know it has lost its relevance. Businesses that benefit a few are now untenable. The only way that South Africa can bridge the economic divide, lift people out of poverty and grow is to create a new economic model.
